2019 Jan 1 Rose Parade
The bus left our campsite at 4:30 A.M. The Rose Parade started at 8:00 A.M., so had to leave early to get a parking place for the bus. It was worth it, because we were just a short walk to the grandstands. Above the crowds already on Colorado Blvd, Pasadena. Below squeezed into our $100 seats with very little leg room.
I got this picture at just the right moment. The B2 flying directly under the Goodyear blimps to start the parade.
Here's the Cal Poly float again.
Below are the Mini Therapy Horses from Calabasas, California. They use them in hospitals and nursing homes.Lassiter High School band from Marietta, Georgia. Our son Dan graduated from this school.
And here's the Diamond Almond float with all it's thousands of flowers.
Below, I think this is the first Rose Parade queen that wears glasses. Good for her.
Ohio State float. They ended up beating Washington in the Rose Bowl.
Na Koa Ali'i, Hawai'i All-State Marching Band. The band members stand in a specific order so that when they march, their colorful shirts represent a rainbow effect.
