2018 Dec 1 Traveling West to L.A.

Meteor Crater near Flagstaff.  Over a mile wide was formed when a meteor 1/2 the size of a football field slammed into earth at 26,000 mph.
Who says the desert isn't beautiful.  This is about an hour West of Las Vegas.

Above and below are views from our campsite in San Dimas, CA.  Enjoyed watching the helicopters and small planes taking off and landing at the airport below.

Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre above and Star Trek actor's signatures in the courtyard.

Below El Capitan theatre and the Jimmy Kimmel theatre.  This is across the street from the Dolby.

Olvera Street Hispanic market.  Did not buy a thing, but fun seeing all the crazy items they had for sale.

Phillipe's for lunch.  Great phily cheese steaks.  The purple jackets are the Adventure Caravan group. Very crowded, but service was very fast.
Below the oldest Fire Station in L.A. built in 1886.

Below Union Station.  The old style ticket windows are just for show now.

Huntington Gardens.  They only gave us a couple of hours here.  Needed much more to see this massive garden and museums.  Below is just the Japanese Garden.
